Junior Ducati Superstock squad test out next year's 1098 and one rider is looking like taking Bayliss' place
WITH Troy Bayliss retiring at the end of this year, the hunt to replace him in the premier Xerox Ducati squad is on and today two of the main candidates for the slot are out in Mugello testing next year's 1098R.
Junior Ducati Superstockers Brendan Roberts and Niccolo Canepa are out
putting the booming V-twin through its paces at the punishing Italian track today.
And Visordown has been told by some senior sources working with Ducati that it's Roberts who is looking good to the team wallahs in light of a new face in the Xerox squad. All off the record, of course. So it's a good job we didn't put it on here and tell you, isn't it?
