MotoGP: Stoner fastest in Assen practice

Toseland back in 13th spot as reigning world champion leads field

Casey Stoner...back on form

REIGNING WORLD Champion, Casey Stoner, proved his Donington victory wasn't just a flash in the pan by recording the fastest time during today's practice session at Assen, ahead of this weekend's Dutch GP.

The Australian clocked a fastest lap of 1:36.087 on lap 10 of 27, ahead of Championship leader, Valentino Rossi. Third fastest time of the session went to Tech 3's Colin Edwards.

Britain's James Toseland notched up the 13th fastest time of the day with a 1:37.838
