Rossi...stamped out rumours he's quitting MotoGP

FORMER MOTOGP World Champion, Valentino Rossi, has confirmed he will be staying in MotoGP.

The Italian took the step of making a formal announcement after paddock rumours had, once again, got out of control.

The gossip centred around Rossi's disappointment of this year's Michelin tyres. Rumours were circulating that the Italian would quit if he couldn't seal a deal with Bridgestone for the following season. The Italian said:

"If we have Bridgestone it's okay, but also if we have to settle for Michelin then we will fight to the maximum, like always."
