With less than 17 bikes on the grid for 2009, Carmelo Ezpeleta says Dorna must work hard to find new resolution
MOTOGP BOSS Carmelo Ezpeleta has said that he is working hard to make sure of as full grids as possible in the 2009 MotoGP Championship.
In an interview in Germany, the Dorna head honcho talked about the chance of their being less than 17 bikes on the grid this year, saying: "That would be the worst scenario. Since Kawasaki talked to me saying that they were pulling out I have been working very hard to try and ensure that will not happen."
Currently there are rumours about slashing the spiralling costs in MotoGP, in an effort to encourage more bikes and riders and Ezpeleta said that he is trying to work out what to do: "I have many ideas but what we end up with is also down to what the technical designers can come up with also."
Less than 17 bikes on the grid sounds pretty ropey to us. WSB all the way then!
