Unlucky Italian to race in Speedcar series after bike career heads for the doldrums
MOTOGP REFUGEE Marco Melandri will race in the Speedcar series for the second time this year with another outing on the four wheeler this weekend.
While his MotoGP future looks increasingly iffy, the Italian will race in the fourth round of the series at Dubai. Melandri previously raced in round three of the championship and would have won the second race were it not for a dodgy gearbox in his race car.
Melandri was set to race for Kawasaki in the MotoGP championship this season, but the factory withdrew its entry because of spiralling costs and a plunging sales market during the global financial crisis.
