CASEY STONER, the 2007 MotoGP World Champion, dominated today's Malaysian GP at Sepang, leading the race from turn one until the chequered flag.
The 21-year-old Australian pipped polesitter Pedrosa into the first corner and dominated the race from there on, taking his 10th win of the season. Honda-mouted Pedrosa fought hard, challenging Stoner on occasions but faded towards the end of the 21-lap race with tyre degradation, eventually relinquishing second place to Honda's Marco Melandri. Pedrosa crossed the finishing line in third place.
Other stuff: Valentino Rossi had a disappointing race by his standards, starting in 9th, slipping to eleventh but eventually salvaging a fifth place. Randy de Puniet continued his success for Kawasaki, notching up a solid fourth position.
Britain's Chaz Davies, riding a D'Antin Ducati, finished the race in 17th place.
