MotoGP: Gibernau to ride Ducati number FIVE?

MotoGP exile linked to new Onde 2000 Ducati squad for 2009

IF ANYONE is doubting Sete Gibernau's return to MotoGP then they must be pretty much in the minority right now. The latest rumours and plans for the former factory man have him on a FIFTH Ducati next year in the premier class.

The bike would be run in the Onde 2000 team, currently running Pablo Nieto and Raffaele de Rosa in the 125 class on KTMs. It's only a rumour, so don't put too much weight on it right now, but Onde 2000 is the Spanish equivalent of our own GSE set-up, so the connection for the Spanish company to run the Spanish rider is strong and Ducati are publicly very keen to build on and keep this connection it has with Gibernau.

Good rumour, this one - and with those white and black Onde 2000 colour schemes, the bike's will look very trick indeed.

It would be great to see Sete back in the MotoGP

It might be Vale against the 2 Ducati, with Pedrosa and Lorenzo following very close. Can't wait until next season

+1 take the electronics away and leave it to the rider.

More moto gp bikes on the grid would be good but lets get Simoncelli, Barbera and Kallio on them. I would be very suprised if Gibernau was up to it now.

Has Sete lost his job as the lead singer with Puddle o' Mudd then?

Why not Chas Davies on a Ducati, seem to remember he was quite impressive last year when he got a little go on it.

Sete is a has been who was destroyed by Rossi's mind games in next to no time, why won't they give the younger riders a fair crack at it?
