THE STUNNING MotoCzysz E1pc zero-emission race has trounced the competition in qualifying for this Wednesday's TT Zero event.

Posting a lap time almost twice as fast as the slowest TT Zero competitor, Mark Miller took Michael Czysz's hand-built, futuristic racer around the 37.73-mile course in 23:54 mins, clocking a top speed along Sulby Straight of 131mph. And with an average speed of 94.664mph Motoczysz are knocking on the door of the 100mph average £10,000 prize fund.

“I’m really confident now with the bike and will happily not touch it now until the race, said Czysz. "I think that the bike is capable of achieving the 100mph lap as we still have something in reserve but it will require everything going right on race day.”

Interesting stat:

Less that 14 seconds separated polesitter Ian Hutchinson and sixth place rider Cameron Donald in qualifying for this year's Superbike race. The gap from first to sixth in TT Zero - just under 23 minutes.
