More run-off at Cadwell Park

Chris Curve gets the digger treatment

CADWELL'S Chris Curve has been given increased run-off area to improve safety.

A 240-metre stretch of barrier on the outside of the corner has been moved back by 20 metres, effectively doubling the distance between the track and the new safety barrier.

Earth was also moved from the inside of the corner to the outside in order to ensure the run-off is at the same level as the circuit. The added bonus is that visibility through the corner from Park to Chris Curve has been improved.

Circuit owners, Motorsport Vision have improved run-off at Barn Corner, the Hairpin, Hall Bends, the Gooseneck and the exit of Chris Curve since they acquired the circuit in 2004.
