DESPITE vowing never to hit race speeds on a motorcycle ever again after a serious accident in 2009, Michael Schumacher has been testing this week at Valencia with the Holzhauser Racing team.
German news sources report that he had hoped to keep the test this week a secret, but was spotted on a Honda CBR1000RR.
According to Speed Week, Schumacher's best time at Valencia was about 4 seconds off the pace of the other, professional riders testing on the day.
Schumacher was knocked unconscious in an accident whilst testing in Spain in 2009, which frustrated an anticipated comeback to Formula One - he was expected to fill in for Felipe Massa in Formula One after the Brazilian crashed in qualifying at Hungaroring. He vowed never to compete on motorcycles again.
Whether or not this week's testing may be only the beginning is anyone's guess...
