MANX ACE David Knight made a stylish return to the US Grand National Cross Country Series by winning round nine, aboard his new privateer Kawasaki.

Competing for the first time since parting company with BMW, Knight blasted the field aboard a privately entered Kawasaki, leading the event from the start until the finish.

After the race Knight said: "It's great to have enjoyed myself like I did, and to have returned to the top of a podium. I always said I needed to start enjoying myself with my racing again, which I certainly did this weekend.

"The track wasn't too difficult so it was just a case of keeping everything moving, not stopping in any of the rock sections. I have to say a big thanks to Bart Hayes from Powersport Grafx for helping me out during the weekend. It's great to be back enjoying my racing."
