Is this story just an excuse to get a fit bird in the article? I think so
TYRE manufacturer Maxxis has been named as the Official Tyre Partner for
the 2008 Isle of Man TT Races, which take place between May 24th
and Saturday, June 7th.
However, this doesn't mean John McGuinness will be setting 130mph laps on Maxxis tyres, but all official vehicles for the TT event,
including the infamous flying marshals, will be riding bikes fitted with Maxxis tyres.
Chris McGahan, who is sponsored by Sam Crossett Motorcycles, will be on
the start line for the Relentless Supersport and SLI Superstock races
and will be putting his Maxxis tyres through their paces aboard the new
2008 Yamaha R6. Good luck, Chris.

Pint of landlord, thanks.
I'm looking for new tyres, would you recommend the Supermaxx MR6029 or the Barracuda C915 for a two up trip with luggage to Poland?
Thanks and welcome.

saw the banners all over the place for maxxis tyres...anybody got them on their bikes yet???? come on..wot they like then..
They are pretty good and for around £100 a set.
Not quite as good as Racetechs but would take a bloody good trackday rider to outride them

Hi, I put some maxxis tyres on my road bike, a 89 exup, I gota say, they warm up real quick and give mega confidence and grip.
Grip levels seem about the same as a michelin pilot power 2ct.
I wonder if i could use em on my racebike ?
May stick a set on n take a wednesday afternoon around mallory..
Candice, you can come too if you like..I dont mind,,, realy..

To be honest my opinion of maxxis aint great, if my 525 ktm supermoto can spin their rear to hell (meant to be super sticky SM tyres) then god knows what a real bike may do ie my R1/R6!!!
Cant knock u though Candice, id let you fart in bed (just the once though).
