THE 2008 Isle of Man TT got underway on Saturday evening with the first practice session, in the 101st running of the world's greatest motorcycle road race.
Lap record holder, John McGuinness, and likeable Lincolnshire lad, Guy Martin, took to the Island's roads along with other frontrunners to test out the circuit for the first time this year.
The next practice session is scheduled for Monday evening.
