JOHN McGUINNESS was just a fraction of the 130.34mph lap last night with the 14-times TT winning legend putting in a 129.661mph best in practice on the Island yesterday evening.
McGuinness managed the stunning time on the HM Plant Honda Fireblade in almost perfect conditions on the Isle of Man as temperatures dropped slightly after the previous couple of day's hot and slippery roads.
Second quickest in the solos was Guy Martin, the Hydrex Honda ride clocked in with a 128.29mph best in his pursuit of his first ever TT win.
Ian Hutchinson was third quickest with his best of 127.271mph.
In the Superstock class it was Relentless TAS Suzuki'a Cameron Donald who was the quickest with a best of 126.46mph with Martin second (125.245).
McGuinness also topped the timesheets in the Supersport class with his first ride of the week on the 600. He clocked an astonishing best of 123.107mph on the middleweight Honda.
