Guy Martin will ride for Yamaha in 2009

Real road star will help Yamaha take on Honda at the TT and other top real road events

Rob McElnea has signed up Guy Martin with full Yamaha UK backing for 2009. Rob Mac Racing will run laid-back Lincolnshire lad Martin in all the premium "real roads" events -- the North West 200, Isle of Man TT, Southern 100 and the Ulster Grand Prix -- in the Superbike, Superstocks and Supersports classes.

His recruitment by Yamaha for the TT is seen as a very direct throwing down of the gauntlet to Honda in the year in which it celebrates its 50th anniversary on the Island. Martin stands at the second-fastest man ever round the 37.75-mile Mountain Course with a 129.816mph lap set in 2007. John McGuinness has the outright lap record, also set in 2007, with 130.354mph.

Yeah that Honda has been nothing but shit to Guy this year in his road racing.  I hope the Yamaha does better for him.  I cant wait to see him speak again but i hope that this time its him winning the TT so he is more over the moon.
