Internet rumours are quashed. They hope.
GUY MARTIN hasn't quit. That's the message from his Tyco Suzuki team ahead of the 2012 Isle of Man TT.
The team took to twitter following 24 hours of gossip and rumours across the internet where fans were speculating that Martin had quit the team following his NW200 crash.
Tyco Suzuki's tweet read as follows: "Despite unsubstantiated comments (gossip) on the internet, Guy Martin is still very much part of the Tyco Suzuki team".
Martin crashed out heavily in the opening Supersport race and Team boss Philip Neill made the decision to sideline Martin for the rest of the NW200 meeting.
Guy Martin's quote after the crash: “I’m disappointed to miss out on the meeting and pretty frustrated as I didn’t feel I was doing anything wrong when I tucked the front, even though the bike does get a bit unsettled through that bumpy section. I had a really stiff neck after the crash and I had taken a bit of a battering so it was best to sit it out. I’ll be grand for the TT.”
