"I want to stress that my personal relationship with Gábor was always perfect and now I can only wish him well in both sporting and private life"
SPANISH MANAGER Jorge Martinez 'Aspar' has announced he is to split with 250cc Hungarian sensation Gabor Talmacsi.
The realtionship has been under stress for some months, with Martines recently travelling to Hungary to seek a solution with Talmasci. In a recent escalation of differences, Talmacsi refused to race at the Le Mans Grand Prix.
At a press conference, Aspar explained the situation: "In the first three races of the championship we obtained very positive results, but Gábor has decided to break the contract. We had come to Budapest with the idea to solve the recent problems, but unfortunately we have not reached an agreement, because of the interest in the management of sports rights in Hungary.
"I want to stress that my personal relationship with Gábor was always perfect and now I can only wish him well in both sporting and private life. This situation saddens me greatly, but now we must plan our efforts in the future and not look back.
"We will continue working in the Hungarian project, the team will continue its journey with a new driver who will occupy the square Gábor, and Circuit Balatonring soon be built, and will be bigger than expected. Our relationship has ended so now everyone will follow his way, just want Gábor find a good team. As you all know, our team of both the 125cc and 250cc are leaders in the championship, so I will focus my efforts on this line and continue to extend our success to Balatonring Team."
