edward44 I have to agree.... in fact I think this is outrageous.
In a day and age of satnav systems, aircraft etc there is simply no way that a rider can be left for dead. This guy crashed and broke his bike, but if he took his lid off and found shade it is fair to say there couldn't have been too much wrong with him.
Even if it is a big area, with proper equipment they could have located him and had a chopper out and picked him up within a matter of hours. Provide all competitors with a life-kit of water and no one should have to die in this way.
A death from exposure in the dessert is a pretty horrible way to go. The organisers have blood on their hands.
