F1 ace warns Schumacher about bike racing

'Michael should listen' says Red Bull driver, Mark Webber

by Visordown News

FORMULA ONE driver Mark Webber has said he thinks former F1 God Michael Schumacher should reconsider a career in motorcycle racing.

The 32-year-old Australian has said he's surprised Schumacher's still interested in racing a bike after his lastest fall, which saw the seven-time F1 champ knocked unconscious, after a massive highside while testing in February. Schumacher has subsequently missed the start of the German Superbike series.

"I too find those machines awesome," said Red Bull driver Webber, to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport. "But race them? No thanks," he said.

Former 500cc world champion Mick Doohan has also warned of the dangers of starting racing after your prime. Doohan warned Webber:

"Until you get it right, you fall badly at least ten times. If you are young, that's part of your job, but when you're older you wouldn't advise it.

"Michael should listen," Webber said, "because Mick knows what he's talking about."

That's true, i think Michael Schumacher is a marvellous sportsman, if he joins a motobike team, i think he would do just as good as Valentino Rossi.,i miss Michael he is a cool guy when the heat is on, i have spoken to him and i find him a polite gentleman with a great personality, its rumour we hear that he is aggronant and cold, when it boils down to they are jealous of him.because they know he is the best.

Bikingbadger
Couldn't stand him in F1 (well until his final race when I had to hand it to the guy for some fantastic passes) but he's earned my respect since with his biking exploits.

Flo

Can't believe I missed this. Top thread, had me rofl. Scuey vs the GOAT? Maybe if they gave him a five lap start?

Could've titled it better, though. How about "publicity hungry s*ite driver can't resist having a pop at one of the greatest drivers in living memory"? Not as catchy, but a bit closer to the truth...

_Yoda_

I'd love to see how he'd do in Moto GP. Just so long as he doesn't barge people off the track like in F1. Oh hang on, Rossi's allowed to do that in Moto GP and everyone loves him, so it must be OK?

give him a chance ???? the guy has more money than enough and he still gets all his bikes given to him,and top bikes at that.

TimskiT

Webber should shutup! Man that guy has something negative to say about everyone in that community!

Shoemaker is doing a grand job...of falling off! LOL

No, in all seriousness, fairplay to him. Rossi is considering his next avenue after GP whether that be rallying or F1 so I say good on any racer who still has the passion. Rinse it!!!
