DONINGTON PARK is due to make an official announcement later this week over the troubled circuit's Formula One future, Visordown can reveal.
Today's 12pm deadline to remedy a breach of contract with Formula 1 Rights Holder Bernie Ecclestone, in order to keep any plans for retaining the existing 17-year Formula 1 contract alive, has come and gone with no formal announcement from the East Midland's circuit owners.
Donington's Chief Executive Simon Gillett has been under increasing pressure over the last few months over financial difficulties surrounding development of the circuit into a recognised Formula One venue.
Donington Ventures Leisure Limited refused to comment on the situation when Visordown called their offices earlier today.
