David Gaviria wins AMA Pro Supersport

Colombian wraps up the championship at Laguna Seca.

DAVID Gaviria has won the AMA SuperSport West 2011 Championship aboard his K-Tech equipped and Gary Medley tuned LTD Racing Yamaha YZF-R6.

Gaviria qualified in fourth but didn't risk it all during the race and crossed the line in fourth to secure the championship. LTD Racing team-mate Tomas Puerta qualified on the front row in third position on his K-Tech equipped Yamaha YZF-R6 and would go on to finish on the podium in second place.

In AMA Pro National Guard Superbike, Roger Hayden continued to improve with a close fourth place finish, just 0.045" off the podium, Roger rode his National Guard Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 hard all weekend. The bike is equipped with K-Tech 20DDS fork cartridges and 35DDS rear shock hard all weekend qualifying on the front row in third position beside his brother Tommy. Ben Bostrom who was also a wildcard in the MotoGP race - qualified sixth and improved to fifth place just behind his team-mate Roger at the end of the race.
