BSB: Plater to race Superbike and Supersport

NW200 ace to race in both classes at Brands after Josh Brookes gets refused entry to the UK for visa problems

STEVE PLATER will be racing in BOTH BSB and BSS events at this weekend's opening round of the championship at Brands Hatch on Bank Holiday Monday - because HM Plant Honda's new rider, Aussie hotshot Josh Brookes has been refused entry to the UK after problems with his visa!

Apparently, the visa issue has been on-going for some time and it's only just emerged that Plater will be drafted into the big bike class as a temporary replacement alongside Glen Richards.

Crikey, even more drama for the BSB this year. And the season hasn't even started yet!

Best of luck to Steve. He's been on a lot of euro TD's I've done and he's a lovely fella.

TBH Josh should have pretended to be somalian, he's have been given accomadation handy for Brands too!

georgy boy
Josh should have sneeked over on the back of a lorry, he would then have been given bu our government , a house, spending money, a job (the uk resident will be sacked to make way for him) probably even a new racing bike - all in the name of his human rights, but being a world class sportsman who will be spending money in this country is a big no-no

R1 manic
Good luck Steve.Get some good results at Brands and you might sideline Brookes like Lavilla did to Hayden in 2005.
