HONDA'S immediate future in British Superbikes is safe, despite the company pulling out of F1 because of money problems.
That's the news from the head of Honda Racing, Neil Tuxworth, the man who oversees the HM Plant effort.
The Louth-based HM Plant team have been competing in BSB since 2003.
Honda announced on Friday that they were pulling out of Formula One and hoped to sell the team by the end of December. But Tuxworth told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Car and motorcycle racing are run by different divisions so this will have no effect on the motorcycling side."
Australians Glen Richards and Josh Brookes will ride for HM Plant Honda in the 2009 British Superbike championship, with Steve Plater competing in the Supersport series and Steve Brogan in Superstock
