THE SUNFLOWER Trophy, Ireland's premier short circuit fixture of recent years, takes place this coming weekend - October 15th and 16th.

A number of top-ranking racers will be taking part in the event; Ian Lowry will be out to defend his winning title from last year, newly crowned Irish Superbike champion Marshall Neil, plus William Dunlop will be racing in the Superbike and Supersport categories.

Five times winner of the Sunflower Trophy races, Michael Laverty, will be joining Alastair Seeley in the Relentless Suzuki by TAS team, with Michael Dunlop looking for some wins at the Bishopscourt circuit with his StreetSweep team.

British Supersport runner up James Westmoreland will join the Relentless Suzuki squad for the Sunflower Trophy races on a GSX-R600.   Philip Neil, team boss, was quoted "It's a one-off ride at the minute, but I always thought if the opportunity presented itself, we would like to give him a run out on a Relentless by TAS Suzuki.”

UK importers of LeoVince, MOTO.GB Distribution, sponsors of the above riders, said: "It's good to see such a fine turn out of teams and riders at the last big Irish race of the year, a great testament to their faith & support in LeoVince exhausts this year  -  best of luck to everyone."
