Kiwi Bruce Anstey has set the fastest time in the third practice session of the IoM TT
KIWI Bruce Anstey has set the fastest lap of the 2011 Isle of Man TT’s third qualifying session. Anstey, riding for the Yorkshire based Padgetts Honda Racing team lapped the 37 and ¾ mile course at an average speed of 129.695mph on his Superbike, his fastest lap ever.
Guy Martin was second fastest at 129.333mph on his Relentless Suzuki followed in third place by Honda TT Legends rider John McGuinness at 129.041. The top three are the only riders topping 129mph average speed.
Although Gary Johnson on his Lincs Lifting Ltd Honda was in forth place with a lap of 128.452mph, he set the highest speed through the Sulby speed trap at 191.2mph a time matched by Keith Amor.
Gary Johnson also topped the Superstock class at 128.452mph, identical to his Superbike lap. Michael Dunlop was in second place at 128.269mph with Bruce Anstey rounding out the top three at 127.694mph.
In the Supersport class it was Michael Dunlop who posted his fastest time of the session with 125.464mph followed closely by Cameron Donald in second with 125.110mph and Bruce Anstey in third place with 124.236mph.
