It was some ride, that last superbike win for Anstey. The shortened race (5 laps from the planned seven, due to a scrap amongst some spectators on the start finish straight) looked like a clean two-way battle between Hutchinson on his Padgett's Fireblade and hard-riding Keith Amor on his near-stock BMW S1000RR.
Amor and Hutchinson started to distance the rest of the chasing pack by half distance but Anstey's last lap was a blinder as he closed the gap and made a ruthless pass for the lead into the hairpin and held it to the line. Cliffhanger - pretty much like every race that day.
