"My mum used to get pretty sick of the police always being at the door" says 23-year-old phenomenon
THE MEGA talented stunt rider behind the YouTube hit Inspired Bicycles, revealed first on Visordown on Tuesday, has spoken about the video that's made him famous overnight.
Danny MacAskill's mini film, Inspired Bicycles, was one of YouTube's most viewed videos on Tuesday, clocking up more than 350,000 hits in its first day on the site.
Visordown gave you the first glimpse of the super-talented teenager, who's captured the minds of viewers worldwide with his jaw-dropping two-wheel stunts.
The 23-year-old told BBC News he's been practising several hours a day for the more than 12 years to perfect his incredible skills:
"My mum used to get pretty sick of the police always being at the door with me because I used to jump onto people's walls with my bike and a couple of times I was sent to a children's panel. But since then I have now even done demos for the police who are working with community projects to inspire youths not to drink alcohol, so I'm pretty happy I have stuck at it.
"I achieved most of my goals doing this video with the spiky railing taking eight hours of attempts to get it right."
MacAskill added that he has to take painkillers before he performs to alleviate the pain in his wrists from years of jumping from great heights on a bicycle.
