A CAMPAIGN to expose the UK’s deteriorating road system has revealed the worst roads as voted by the public.
The two roads that ‘won’ top awards were the B6343, near Morpeth, Northumberland for major road category, and Fieldhead Lane, close to Holme, West Yorkshire which won minor road category.
Even though the Government has pumped £100m into an emergency road maintenance fund, over 90 per cent of the nominations to the website were for local A and B roads.
