VISORDOWN readers are invited to take part in this poll, where, if we get more than 100 responses, we could probably get a man in a white coat to claim a scientifically proven result.

It's easy, just visit this thread and register your vote for the best motorcycle moment from the big-screen. You can choose from the following options in the shortlist below:

The Great Escape

We're all born knowing Beatles lyrics and that fence jump Steve McQueen did at the Swiss border in an attempy to escape the Germans " pure class.

Mission Impossible 2

Tom Cruise pulling awesome, far-fetched stunts on a bulletproof Triumph Speed Triple that has tyre-changing abilities.

Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade

Indy (Harrison Ford) and his doddering Dad (Sean Connery) fight the Nazis and win. In a sidecar! Great stunt work.

Matrix 2

Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) rescues the 'Key Maker' with a pillion ride from hell on a Ducati 996 the wrong way down a motorway at speed.

James Bond - Tomorrow Never Dies

Bond uses BMW's now defunct R1200C cruiser to dodge bullets and jump roof to roof in an Asian shanty town before sliding under a helicopter using its protruding cylinder head.

Terminator 2

Schwarzenegger on that Harley is an iconic image. Arnie's a cyborg complete with sunglasses and shotgun who, in one scene, jumps the H-D Fat Boy off a 15 foot drop in pursuit of a truck.

True Lies

Schwarzenegger plays a top US secret agent that in once scene chases an insane, Kawasaki GPZ500-riding terrorist through a hotel. On a horse. Genius.

Tron

Alarmingly fast, computer generated neon motorbikes? Racing inside a computer? That can turn in right angles? In 1982? You betcha.

Black Rain

Illegal motorcycle races, Michael Douglas on a H-D Sportster 1200, Yakuza motorbike-mounted gangs beheading Andy Garcia. Typical Hollywood 80s Cop crap. Plenty of bikes though.

Silver Dream Machine

Curly-haired gypsy Nick Freeman (Essex) defies odds to win the world championship at the final round at Silverstone on a bike his dead brother built in a garage. Smell that Castrol R...
