Biker was seen in the area "for up to five hours before the shooting" say Police
A 26-YEAR-OLD man is seriously ill in hospital after being shot in the head by a man who police believe may have been lying in wait.
According to BBC News, the victim was attacked in Mead Close, in the Caversham area of Reading, Berkshire, on Monday evening. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man, dressed in black, sat on a dark-coloured motorcycle.
Supt Steve Kirk said the biker was seen in the area "for up to five hours before the shooting". There may well be a degree of pre-planning to this incident, due to its nature," he said.
"In that time he may have gone into a shop to buy something to eat or drink, or used a toilet so there may well be people in the area who have information that can help us with our investigation."
Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area between 1600 and 2200 BST.
