BONHAMS isn't the only big auction starting in Las Vegas today – Auctions America and Mid America Auctions both also have big motorcycle sales kicking off.
Checking through the Mid America Auctions lots, this one stood out for us: a 1948 Lincoln Zephyr-powered V12 Custom bike, one of two made by Olsons V8 in Illinois. The flathead engine is related to the classic Ford Flathead V8, but with four extra cylinders. Dale Olson also put together another 55 bikes using the Ford eight-cylinder motor.
OK, so it won't handle and probably isn't fast, but on cylinder count alone it's a winner.
