AN AMERICAN wrestling champion died from heat exhaustion after his motorcycle ran out of petrol in the California desert.

Evan Tanner's body was found by police helicopter miles from his machine, after the sportman's motorcycle had run out of petrol. Police say Tanner ventured away from his bike in 118-degree conditions. It appears the UFC wrestling champ succumbed to the intense desert heat.

Tanner was an Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion and a United States Wrestling Federation heavyweight champion.

Darwin award candidate. I have no sympathy for someone who should've been aware of the dangers.

Poor Evan. Was always a favourite fighter of mine, particularly deadly with his knees. And Im sure he would dearly like to be resurrected so he could knee all you piss takers in the chops.

It's a fair old trek, sure he can go the distance?

He may be a good fighter, but he e must of been a twat, I dont even live anywhere near a desert but even I know you have to be prepared if your going to go through one, just incase you break down.

He would probably try and walk through on of the flood rivers and drown anyway, hes a bit dense like that ( so it seems ).

shame he's dead, I reckon I could've had him

Big Nige

What's the appeal of watching two men beat each other up - I've never quite understood that.

Shame the fella died but it was down to pure carelessness and poor preparation.

You see blokes like these everywhere if you go anywhere hot in the US.
Bandana, fingerless gloves, sneakers & cut off tee and that's it.
Makes ya kinda cringe a bit tbh.

Ah well, rest in peace sundried wrestler chap.
