Saw this at Bud Ekins memorial last year. Bud Ekins is the rider and Triiumph dealer who introduced McQueen to riding, sold him all his bikes and stunt doubled for McQueen in the climactic motorcycle jump over a high, barbed-wire fence in the 1963 World War II prisoner-of-war movie “The Great Escape.”

Quite like the look of this bike (jury's out on the silencer).

As soon as they give it another 30bhp, I'll sign up.

Hi Johna in LA ....I also went to the memorial at Warner Bros......was a real moving day for me......Bud was such a cool guy......could be a cranky old bastard......but he always told the best stories.

Ok...little plug if any one is interested in any of this, go check out  www.johnsonmotorsinc.com lots of cool stuff....this is my brothers company and he is a real old motorcycle and classic car nut.
