THE FRENCH riots sparked by a motorcycle crash which killed two young riders continued last night in the northern suburbs of Paris.

Rioters burned several cars in Villiers-le-Bel last night where the deaths of two riders whose motorbike collided with a police car Sunday sparked the violence. The riots have now spread to Toulouse in the South of the country where more cars and a library were set on fire. According to police reports, there have been 120 officers injured since the rioting started on Sunday evening. Four of them shot.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon has called the violence unacceptable. There have been reports that the police officers involved in the collision between the motorbike and their car left the scene without helping the victims. Police officials have dismissed the claims, saying that the officers remained on the scene until help arrived.
