POLICE IN America have been left baffled after a four-ton bronze statue was stolen from outside a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealers.

The sculpture - reported to be worth $100,000 (£62,000) - was taken from outside Timpanogos Harley-Davidson, Utah.

The four-ton statue, which has been on display for almost two years, depicts an old-time speed racing motorcycle and rider.

Police say the statue was mounted on a granite block, which has also gone missing.

Poor old Harley-D. Not having much luck, are they?

Probably chopped up for scrap, the price of bronze is reasonably high.
