Heartless crooks rob dying biker of his machine after serious accident in USA

A FATAL motorcycle crash took a bizarre twist when thieves stole the machine and drove away, leaving the critically injured rider dying at the side of the road.

Virginia police are asking anyone with information about the motorcycle Scott Henry, 26, of Brantford, was riding when it crashed Monday at 3pm on Indian Line in Townsend Township in north Norfolk, Virginia to come forward.

"We don't know where the bike is, the make or model or anything," said Constable Jeff Walraven.

Henry was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died soon after arriving. Police said a brown or beige truck stopped at the scene shortly after the crash and a man got out, picked up the motorcycle and drove north along Indian Line. Walraven said he "wouldn't speculate" on whether the motorcycle was stolen.

The investigation is continuing.

Could it be that the guy in the pickup was chasing someone who stole his bike?

The guy must have been there a while to load a motorbike onto a pickup on his own too, thats pretty fucked up!

Unless the motorbike was stolen in the first place and it was the guys mate who came to remove the evidence, if it was i bet he'll have trouble living that one down....

Something's not right here.   This article places the incident as occurring in Virginia, USA.

However, these Canadian news articles have the same thing happening to a rider of the same name in Ontario.

glad the guy survived, that looked awful. Given the dangerous nature of the stunt, would he and his team not usually know the surroundings,...
