Thieves nick classic bikes worth £100,000

20 collectable machines lifted in one go from Gloucestershire owner

MORE THAN £100,000 worth of vintage motorbikes have been stolen from a rare Gloucestershire collection.

A total of 20 bikes were taken in the raid on a building in Wyatt's Lane, Kilcot. Police are appealing for information to help them track down the thieves.

Among the motorcycles stolen were a Brough 1915 ladies model, a Moto Guzzi 1926 model and a Hobart 1911 ladies model. In addition, an Ariel Red Hunter 1946 model, which was being stored at the property by a male friend of the victim, was also taken.

Acting Detective Sergeant Pipe said:

"The collection is famous amongst bikers around the world. The offenders have selected some very rare models, which indicates this theft was planned."
