TWO 17-YEAR-OLDS have been charged in connection with a motorcycle accident
in Aberdeen that left nine people injured.
The bike hit a crowd of onlookers waiting for the Torcher Parade on Union
Street on Saturday night.
Three youths, two riding without helmets, sped along Aberdeen's Union Street
in front of the crowds.
They tried to pass a yellow van as it turned into Rose Street and ploughed
straight into it and then ended up in the crowd.
Ten people, including five children, were taken to the city's Royal
Infirmary were treated for shock, one
of them a three year old child.
Police said that they had been following the motorcycle they were powerless
to intervene due to the number of pedestrians.
