Sussex Police stop and arrest 11-biker group

Sounds like an abuse of power by the Sussex Police and the new seizing laws, surely pulling the whole group to the side of the road and having a word with them would of sufficed. It would also have saved the tax payer a large sum of money over the amount seizing the bikes and taking the riders to court has cost. Were they harming anyone? Without the police's side of the story (a video from the unmarked bike) I hasten to believe that it's just a copper trying to justify his unmarked bike.

All i can say unless you know any of the people involved i would keep your kind words to your self.

i have been out with most of the riders and i can tell you that they make a ride out worth while. what gets me is that the police are using unmarked bikes.

i also know other people who have been nicked by the unmarked fireblade and all i can say is it is a form of intrapment

I do not appreciate being called a dumb cunt as you do not know the full story,99% of all road users, car and cyclists break the law every day they go out, doing  35/40mph (which is what most people do)  in a 30mph road and that is breaking the law and we all do it. The cyclist that goes through the red light is breaking the law and I see god knows how many every day, the difference is that the police are not sitting at the road side waiting for them. Who is more likely to knock someone down,those people in the built up areas in rush hour traffic, or me on an open dual carriageway on a sunday. For your information, we were on a open dual carriageway, not a town centre or built up area and we are all out and about, the majority of us without charge. You obviously know me to call me a cunt, so I will be at boxhill this sunday (weather permitting) for you to come and tell me what you really think about me if you've got the balls.

i have no remorse because i have done nothing wrong, i did not break any laws. this is obviously where you have been listening to gossip when actually you know nothing. yes when im riding with other people who may be doing wrong i expect to be pulled over, i've got no problem with that at all, but when people like label others and call them "dumb cunts" this i do have a problem with. you must have your head stuck so far up your own arse, the smell must be clouding your judgement. On my way home today I did 143mph on the M62, I also knocked two bikers off. I'm fine with what I did, as a lot of other people were going over 70mph and there were also a few other road accidents, so I only did what everyone else was doing. I wouldn't do this on a normal road though, because that would be wrong.

Of course I'm quite lucky, in that I view it that laws don't apply to me so I can act like a cock with impunity. I also have insurance and road tax, so this gives me free reign to do whatever I like and see the road as my own personal race track.

Of course I only do it on roads that I know, but that's quite easy as I only ever drive on the same 10 mile stretch most of it straight as an arrow, so that I don't really need much skill, just a lot of luck.

R1 Loon...We have some gorgeous roads here in Sussex with lots of twisty bits but life here as been spoilt by a few morons who can only do things in a straight line,consequently Sussex Police are out most Saturdays & Sundays en masse,even in the eye in the sky targetting everyone on 2 wheels  Also MCN didnt help our case by publishing a supplement last year naming one of our roads as one of Britains best rides,so thats out the equation now too

  Just felt the urge to dispell the image portrayed that we only have wide straight dual carriageways to ride on.

  I do know Yorkshire & the Peak district very well as that is my where i originate from ,and will be the first to admit the roads are beautiful but id hate everyone to think we are all numpties in the Sissy South that can wheely,burn out & go fast in a straight line only!

On more occasions than i care to remember I have been overtaken by a Sunday straight liner,i just smile to myself as they are left behind wobbling through the bends & flip flops

Mate, I wasn't saying it about all of you, just these idiots who like dual carriageways. We've got our fair share of motorways and dual carriageways too, but I tend to avoid them when out for a ride as going the twisty route tends to be a lot more fun.

The other bit is that they wreck it for the rest of us exactly as you say. I ike getting out miles away form civilisation and riding at daft speeds, although I still struggle to keep up with a few on here. The police don't have too much of an issue with it as we're miles from anyone or anywhere, unles some idiot spoils it.

Still think the South is full of sissies though

Proving they can control their machines beyond the *average* mans limits!!! Rolling burnouts at 100mph+, most of you couldnt burn out a moped in ya back garden. Doing wheelie's at over 120mph, when most of ya couldn't get it up for ya missus without viagra!!! Nearest most of you have got to doing a stoppie is when ya other half with her moustache face and garlic stained claw's try's to kiss you and you *stop* her!!! "ALL" of these 11 in question have read the comments/replies made and are not happy, and nor am i. Who am i? As for them being unhappy at the comments, boohoo, go home and tell mummy that nasty people are picking on you.

Any group who are thick enough to perform the same stunts over and over again in the same place at the same time, need to try to move in different circles, as their gene pool is running out and inbreeding creates some dangerous stupidity.

The stunting piece is where the problem is, move to the US where this seems to be the thing to do on a sportsbike, the rest of us will continue to ride like hooligans in the right (changeable) place, at the right (variable) time.

I love the comment about being unhappy at the spelling too, then posting some of the worst grammar known to mankind.

It's also nice to know that you take the DPA so lightly and would pass on details of members to others so willingly, that could tun out to cost you a lot more than your bike.

Class, I don't see where I was first to criticise spelling btw, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

My riding's OK, I'm happy with my level anyway.

You may find that Chris has already said it to their faces though, as looking back at his posts, he sems to know the 11.

I don't want to travel to the SE of England to thrash a bike up and down a dual carriageway, I'll stick to the twisty roads up here - they require a modicum of skill and track as well. I managed to work out that police aren't likely to impound our bike no matter how hard and fast you ride.

And I also don't go walking into fights with 11 people, as I'm not Chuck Norris. However as you lot are clearly so upset by all of this, why not make your way Oop North and meet me and a few mates instead.

We're often to be found at or around Devils Bridge and then riding off from there in one of many directions for a bit of a hoon. Let's see if you fancy that approach.
