Australian medical team save motorcyclist's eye after serious city-centre collision

SURGEONS IN Sydney, Australia, have reattached a biker's eyeball after he was seriously injured in a rush hour motorcycle accident.

The biker suffered serious head and chest injuries, and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital. Police are seeking witnesses to a peak-hour crash between a bus and the injured rider's motorcycle in Sydney's city centre yesterday.

The man had emergency surgery to reattach an eyeball and remains in a serious but stable condition.
