Street legal ZZR1400 clocks 215mph!

More to come, owner reckons

Williams' 'slightly modified' ZX14 clocked 215mph

AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE speed junkie, Chad Millholland, clocked an amazing 215mph on Greg Williams' street legal, nitrous-charged ZX14 (ZZR1400 to you and me) at Maxton USA earlier this month.

The machine is owned and prepared by Gregory Price Williams, proprietor of Hyperbike Performance Centers - www.hyperbikecenters.com

Greg says on his website:

"Our 2007 season closing event turned out great. We headed to the Maxton Mile with one intention. We wanted to surpass or knock on the door of the East Coast Timing Association's MPS/F/1650 class record which was held by Charles May: a top speed record in the mile of 215.67740 MPH set in 2006 aboard a Suzuki Hayabusa. I knew it was going to take an experienced Land Speed veteran and we found that in Chad Millholland. Chad gladly answered the call. Hyperbike Performance Centers LLC, covered all of Chad's expenses and had him come on out to the Maxton Airport to pilot Inferno down the former runway. We built, tuned, designed and prepped "Inferno" at my shop: Hyperbike Performance Centers. KWS Motor sports built our 1450 CC race motor which was built to run strong on motor and nitrous something a full stroker motor cannot do. We wanted an everyday rider which could gobble up some nitrous when needed."

But before you slap a nitrous bottle on your ZZR and head straight for the M25 - oops - I mean local airfield, just check out the list of modifications Greg's made to his superfast Kawasaki.
