Sons of Anarchy returns to UK TV

Tommy Flanagan makes return to UK screens in cult biker TV show

SCOTTISH-BORN actor Tommy Flanagan is set to make a return to British TV screens in the US biker show 'Sons of Anarchy'.

The show follows the lives of a Californian motorbike gang and is now being shown in the UK on Five USA, with the second series about to start on Bravo.

Flanagan, who's appeared in many top movies, including Braveheart and Gladiator, says he can't wait to climb aboard a Harley Davidson once again, as hard-as-nails biker 'Chibs'.

He said: "I am loving it. I get to ride motorcycles and hang around with great people all the time. It is just great.

"I even get to take the bike home at the end of the day. It is black, chrome and customised especially for me - it's as cool as hell," Flanagan told the Scottish Sunday Mail.

Flanagan, who includes Mel Gibson as one of his many A-list friends, says his success is partly thanks to fellow Scot Robert Carlyle.

"Acting never crossed my mind for a moment when I was growing up, but after I was attacked it was Robert Carlyle and Caroline Paterson, who had created the Raindog theatre company, who suggested that I should take up acting."

Sons of Anarchy is on Five USA on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10pm. Series two starts on Bravo on April 28.
