Series two of Guy Martin’s ‘Speed’ now on TV

TT racer is back with four more speed-based challenges

ISLE of Man TT racer Guy Martin is back gracing our screens with season two of his TV series ‘Speed’.

Series one saw Guy ride a pedal bike at over 100mph, set the record for the world’s fastest gravity powered sled and attempt to pilot the fastest ever human-powered aircraft.

Series two will see Guy take on four more speed-based challenges, from racing a motorbike at altitude to trying to break the speed record for a hovercraft.

Channel 4 who are airing the show, say: ‘Guy wants to find out what makes things go fast by getting his hands dirty in a range of unique engineering projects.

‘He harnesses cutting-edge science, learns new skills and calls on the support of some of the unsung design and engineering heroes of British industry.’

The show will air at 8pm Sunday on Channel 4. Episode one was shown last night and saw Guy investigate how far you can cycle during 24 hours of non-stop pedalling. If you missed it, you can watch it online on Channel 4’s website.

In next week’s episode, Guy will visit the USA to enter in one of America’s oldest races: the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb.
