THOUSANDS OF people are expected to attend Save Donington Park Rally this coming Sunday 7th March, to raise awareness of the plight of troubled East Midlands race circuit.
The event has been orchestrated by savedonington.co.uk; a support group created via social networking site Facebook, after Donington Ventures Leisure Limited went into administration at the end of last year.
Since its collapse, the company has left the circuit in in a state of considerable disrepair with no clear direction to the historic track's future.
The rally has the full support of the circuit's owners, the Wheatcroft family,
Attractions will include a major car and bike club display, an autojumble, children's rides and entertainment with a computer racing simulator, a track rescue demonstration and a classic vehicle show.
Visitors on the day will be able to take part in track viewings and can also take advantage of reduced entry to the famous Donington Park Museum.
