Motorcycle superstar beats Ussain Bolt in Italian reader poll
MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has been rated as the athlete of the decade - beating Usain Bolt, Roger Federer and Michael Phelps.In a poll conducted by top Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, more than 40 percent of their readers rated the 30-year-old as their top athlete of the decade. Swiss tennis star Roger Federer (13.8 percent) and Olympic and World 100m and 200m champion Usain Bolt (8.8 percent) could only muster a tiny percentage of the vote by comparison.Former Ferrari God Michael Schumacher scooped up 7.4 percent of the votes, while the Italian national football team copped for a lowly 6.3 percent.
I wonder what a comparable poll in the UK would yield?
Probably 10 over-paid footballers............
