SEVEN-TIME (and almost eight) World Champion Valentino Rossi is to compete in the Rally Great Britain in December, according to the Italian's father.

Ex-500cc racer, Graziano Rossi confirmed his son would drive again in WRC competition, in an interview with Autosport.

Valentino drove in Rally GB in 2002 and Rally New Zealand in 2006. He is also a regular at the Monza Rally, which he won last year in a Ford Focus WRC.

"We'll be at Monza and we'll also be on Rally GB," said Graziano Rossi. "It's not sure which car we'll have [for Rally GB], it could be the Ford - which, in my opinion, is the proven package for us. But Valentino might also drive a Subaru or Citroen, at the moment nothing is out of the question."
