Man escapes serious injury after leather jacket gets trapped in back wheel
A 35-YEAR old American was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after the man's jacket became lodged in the rear wheel, throwing the rider from his machine.
The jacket, which has been tied onto the rear seat, became entangled between the rear tyre and fender, causing the rear wheel to lock up. The rider was ejected over his handlebars and onto the freeway's hard shoulder.
State Police believe the rider's protective helmet saved his life, as it sustained severe gouges on contact with the tarmac.
didn't know harley made tyres!???

It could have been good press for the jacket and helmet if they'd told us what they were. I'm surprised the headline didn't read
'Reckless motorcyclist causes roadway damage in dangerous stunt'

Its one thing to crash leaving your jacket at home, but to crash just feet away from your jacket because your not wearing it, wow.
Id rather sweat than bleed any day
