BIKERS' FAVOURITE, Richard Brunstrom, has been winning more friends over the Xmas break - this time with his views on the drug 'ecstacy'.

The North Wales Police chief constable said on BBC Radio 4's 'Today' that ecstasy is safer than aspirin.

"If you look at the government's own research into deaths you'll find that ecstasy, by comparison to many other substances - legal and illegal - is comparably a safe substance," he said.

Mr Brunstrom has openly criticised the UK's drugs laws, claiming the police are engaged in a battle which they cannot win.
