Rea ... pictured on his HM Plant BSB machineJonathan Rea and his HM Honda team-mate Riyouchi Kiyonari took victory in the Suzuka Eight Hour Endurance race in Japan on Sunday.
Kiyonari led early in the race and still was in front when he handed over to Rea. The Ballyclare man briefly dropped down to fifth as rain fell but recovered to set the fastest lap of the day and ensure the team's victory.
Last week, Rea was given a wildcard entry to make his MotoGP debut in the British Grand Prix at Donington on 24 June.
The 20-year-old from Ballyclare, who races for HM Honda in British Superbikes, will be riding a Honda-powered KR212 for Team Roberts.
Rea lies third in this year's British Superbikes championship.
