Young Royal joins elder brother in Italian V-twin ownership
PRINCE HARRY has shown he shares his elder brother's love of motorcycles by lashing out on a Ducati 848 superbike.
The 25-year-old Prince splashed out around £11,500 on the 848cc V-twin Italian beast, which has a top speed of almost 170mph.
The Royal Princes both love motorcycling; the pair took part in a 1,000 mile motorbike charity trek across South Africa in 2009. Harry's brother, Prince William, already owns a bigger version of the 848 Ducati - the 1198 superbike.
A friend of Harry's told the Daily Mail: "Harry loves his motorbikes and has absolutely no fear - which may, or may not, be a good thing! William has been winding him up for months so he was the first person he told about his new 'baby' and he heartily approves.
"Both William and Harry enjoy the anonymity that putting on their leathers and taking to the road.
"No-one knows who they are and in the biking world people just treat them as one of the lads, which they love."
So be on the lookout for an 1198 and an 848 pursued by an entourage of Royal Protection officers.

It's a beauty but he should have bought British (Triumph)Posted: Today 12:17
why should he?

The 675's a good bike, but given the choice I'd go for the 848...not in white though.
Don't see why he "should" by a Triumph, they do a shit job of marketing themselves, why should the royals try and help them out when they won't help themselves.

They should buy what bikes they would enjoy. If that is Ducati then good for them!
If I were a Prince of the Realm(he-he!) there is no way I'd buy a Triumph - I don't like 'em so why should I ride 'em?

good for him, lets face it he's got to spend his army pay somehow.....
and why should he buy Triumph if he doesn't want to? If its a "coz he's British" thing, then, well thats bollox innit!
I'm a little surprised he didn't go for a bigger more expensive model like his brother, after all, Ducati probably gave it to him (foc) anyway.

If he has an entourage, does that mean he won't get caught speeding?
